Baisakhi Celebrations Hosted at the Embassy Residence on April 18

Embassy of India hosted a reception on April 18, 2015 to celebrate Baisakhi. The festival symbolizes the harvest season, and thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest. It also marks the founding of the Khalsa by Guru Gobind Singh.

Over three hundred guests including prominent Indian American community leaders, doctors, engineers, lawyers, bankers, scientists, and other professionals attended the celebrations.

Hon'ble Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley and Hon'ble Minister of Environment and Forest Shri Prakash Javadekar participated in the celebration and greeted the Community.
