Embassy of India, Washington D.C., jointly with the Peterson Institute for International Economics and U.S. - India Business Council, organized a post-budget briefing session on "Beginning a New Era: India's Union Budget 2015-2016" on March 9, 2015, featuring Dr. Arvind Subramanian, Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India. The event was attended by about 100 persons representing industry, think-tank, media and academic institutions. Ambassador Taranjit S. Sandhu, Charge d'Affaires spoke on the salient aspects of the annual budget and introduced Dr. Arvind Subramanian to the audience for his presentation and interaction.
