In recent past, instances have come to notice where some local companies/ individuals have been found to be attempting to defraud potential job-seekers/exporters/importers from India into making payments by creating bogus companies and fictitious email/telephone coordinates. As a part of due diligence efforts, it is important for Indian exporters and importers, including job-seekers, to pay attention to the contact phone numbers and e-mail addresses used by the scammers. Most organizations have websites where the contact phone numbers and contact links are available. Contacting the companies directly would eliminate the need to make payment to fictitious entities who claim to be middlemen attempting to scam people.
