Indian Naval Sail Ship Tarangini's visit to USA

Indian Naval Sail Ship Tarangini is currently on a visit to USA. A total of 7 officers, 43 sailors, and about 30 officer cadets are sailing on the ship. Groups of officer cadets are turned around at different ports during the voyage and a total of 270 Indian cadets and 30 foreign cadets will participate in the voyage.

The ship departed Kochi, India on 10th January 2007 and arrived at Port Canaveral, Florida on 9th May 2007. After the stay at Port Canaveral from 9 to 12 May 2007, the ship arrived at Charleston, SC to participate in the Tallships festival. The ship will also participate in Tallships festivals at Norfolk (7 to 12 June), Baltimore (13 to 18 June), Newport, RI (27 June to 01 July) and Boston (4 to 8 July 2007) before proceeding to Halifax, Canada. The ship will also have a scheduled halt at Annapolis, MD from 19 to 22 June.
