Advisory on Fake e-Visa Websites

1. It has come to the notice of the Embassy of India, Washington DC that there are several fake websites offering e-Visa services for India. 
2. In this context, it is clarified that all e-Visas remain suspended by the Government of India since March 2020 in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. At present, only regular paper visa is being issued by the Embassy of India, Washington DC and its Consulates in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, New York and San Francisco, for which the applications are filled-up and submitted at the website: www.indianvisaonline.gov.in

3. The Embassy of India hereby advises applicants not to use any websites offering e-Visa services. The Embassy also requests applicants to report such fake websites to the Embassy of India, Washington DC by email at visa.washington@mea.gov.in
